Yes. MTD VAT filing stays free with no time limit and no card required. We want every VAT-registered garage to be MTD compliant — that's the whole point.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
You'll get an email reminder before it ends. Subscribe during your trial and lock in £29/month forever — that price will never increase. If you don't subscribe, you drop to the free MTD plan automatically and your data stays safe.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. Sign up with just your email — no card, no commitment. You only need to add payment details if you decide to subscribe at the end of the trial.
Can I cancel the Workshop plan at any time?
Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings — no questions, no notice period. You drop back to the free MTD plan automatically.
Do I need to know anything about Making Tax Digital?
Not really. GarageBooks connects to HMRC (application pending), calculates your 9-box return, and lets you submit with one click. Your accountant can still review the numbers before you send.
